Public Health Notice

In light of the current COVID-19 Pandemic we have a duty of care to protect our patients, parents, and staff, to minimise and prevent the transmission of the virus.

As of Monday 23 March 2020, we will not be seeing patients for routine visits until further notice.

You must contact us before coming in for an appointment

You will be asked to email or text us photos and an explanation of the problem. We will try to resolve all problems over the phone or by email if possible. Please email: [email protected]

We will only be seeing

1- An Urgent Emergency that involves pain or damage to the mouth as a result of a sharp part of the brace or a broken brace.

2- An Urgent Replacement of a lost or broken retainer or removable appliance that is urgent to prevent teeth moving out of line.

Please do not come in for an appointment if

  1. You suspect that you or anyone close to you have the virus.
  2. You have a high temperature or new continuous cough.

In such a case call 111 or look up www.nhs.uk

For those attending an appointment

1. Only one person should accompany a patient if necessary and, whenever possible, he/she should wait outside whilst we carry out our procedure. We will attend to the emergency in a safe and speedy manner.

2. Avoid touching door handles and furniture (we will leave the doors open to facilitate this).

3. Try to keep a distance of 2m from other people around you.

4. We will check you in, the touch screen is switched off.

5. Use the hand sanitiser provided when entering and leaving.

It will be business as usual once the Pandemic is under control and measures are relaxed.

If you have an Urgent Emergency out of hours please call Dr Sneha Thakrar on 01923 223758
