Invisalign invisible braces at Watford Ortho

If you are after a smile that enhances your appearance but do not want everyone to know that you are undergoing orthodontic treatment, then invisible braces like invisalign are perfect for you.

Invisalign is a great way to straighten teeth without visible braces using a series of nearly undetectable, transparent aligners instead of wires and brackets.

They are the optimal way to transform your smile without affecting your lifestyle because they are:

ClearVirtually invisible so hardly anyone will notice you are straightening your teeth
CustomMade for you
RemovableRemoved for eating, brushing and flossing so you can still eat and drink all your favourite foods
ComfortableThere are no metal brackets or wires to irritate your gums or the inside of your mouth
Effective You will begin to see the benefits of a better smile right from the start of treatment

How does it work?
Invisalign at ortho

Our orthodontists will take impressions of your teeth from which your aligners will be custom made using advanced 3-D computer imaging technology. Using this technology, your entire treatment and individual tooth movements will be planned and you will be able to visualise your treatment from start to finish, through animated visuals to see what your smile will look like when treatment
is complete. A series of clear aligners are then custom-made for you that will gradually move your teeth in to the desired position.

Each set of clear aligners is worn day and night for 3 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. The aligners should be worn for at least 22 hours per day for the best results. As treatment progresses, you will notice the teeth gradually move to their final straightened position as you replace the aligners.

You will visit your orthodontist once every 6-8 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned and to collect the next set of aligners.

Total treatment time averages 9 to 18 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is 18 to 36, but this will vary between individual patients.
